Snow reflections in the high altitude meadows of Zanskar, Ladakh
The valleys of Zanskar are full of meadows irrigated by melting glaciers. During summers, as the snow melts, wild flowers bloom in these meadows. Several shallow lakes also form providing plentiful grass and water to for grazing.
While riding towards Rangdum, I came across one such meadow. The wind was low and the waters of the lake surprisingly still. In those mirrors I could see the reflection of mountains in the vicinity. Spellbound by the imagery, I sat down to let the view sink in and enjoy the tranquility of the place.
