Reflections of the Nandi status at Brihadeeswarar Temple, Thanjavur, India
While visiting Thanjavur in Dec 2016, I took some time to visit the Brihadeeswarar Temple as second time at night. There had been a thunderstorm in the evening and the temple courtyard had patches of water accumulated in small pools. The temple being well lit, reflected in many of these pools.
The above photograph is of the big statue of Nandi in front of the main temple. This status is carved out of a single rock measuring about 16 ft long and 13 ft high.
